Energy Performance Certificates
When a property is constructed, sold or let it is a legal requirement for that building to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) to comply with UK legislation.
Display Energy Certificates
Public Buildings over 1000 m2 are required to have a Display Energy Certificate (DEC) which must be visible to the public and reviewed each year.
TM44 Air Conditioning Inspections
The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) state that as of the 4th of January 2009 it is a requirement for certain Air Conditioning systems above 250 kilowatts to be inspected. These inspections are in addition to the scheduled inspections required to meet Statutory and duty of care obligations.
When are Air Conditioning inspections required?
- First inspection of all existing systems over 250 kW cooling capacity must be completed by 4th January 2009.
- First inspection of all existing systems over 12 kW must be completed by 4th January 2011.
- New systems over 12 kW installed after January 2008 must be inspected within 5 years of being put into service.
